FIVE Arsenal stars get England international call up

There would almost certainly be two more members of the current Arsenal squad involved for the England national team over the next two weeks if only Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck were not currently out of action due to injury. As it is though, three Gunners have been picked by Roy Hodgson for the two Euro qualifiers against San Marino and Switzerland.

On top of that Gareth Southgate has called up our under fire defender Calum Chambers and our on loan striker Chuba Akpom to face USA in a friendly and then Norway in a qualifier. I only hope that the manager gives Chambers a chance on the pitch this time after not using him for a single minute as they crashed out of this summer´s tournament.

The three senior England call ups have gone to Kieran Gibbs, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott and once again I hope that the manager decides to use them. Gibbs and Walcott in particular could do with some playing time in order for them to come back to club duties as sharp as possible.

Monreal has been ignored again by Spain but Santi Cazorla will be heading off, as will Mesut Ozil for Germany, Gabriel for Brazil, Petr Cech for the Czech Republic, Ramsey for Wales, Alexis Sanchez for Chile and our three French internationals Koscielny, Debuchy and Giroud are all in the squad named by Deschamps.

As usual we will be hoping that none of them pick up an injury problem and also that they get some game time and play well. Good luck Gunners.
