Forget Giroud – Arsenal’s injury list is looking great ahead of Tottenham clash!

Olivier Giroud became France’s 7th All-Time Top Scorer when he netted in a friendly against Wales last week, but he was actually playing with an injury (silly boy) and had to be taken off and sent back to Arsenal for treatment. Ironically the Welshman Aaron Ramsey has also been sidelined with a calf injury, but both of them are not looking too serious and will probably be fit to face Tottenham next weekend.

To be honest it was unlikely that Giroud would have played anyway, especially as we have the good news of Danny Welbeck returning to the fold. Danny started the season in blistering form before he got his usual injury, but hopefully he will hit the ground running again on his return to the First Team although Wenger is unlikely to play him from the start against Spurs.

Even better news for Arsene Wenger is the news that both Shkrodan Mustafi and Calum Chambers will be back to give Le Prof some much-needed options in defence. That is where our big problems have been all this season as we have been conceding goals all over the place and we are desperate for some pace back in the back line.

There have been some murmurs about Petr Cech’s performances this year which could be a major factor in our leaking goals, so we will all be happy to know that David Ospina is also back in contention. Maybe Wenger ought to consider using the Colombian a bit more often now as Cech is getting on in years…

So if Giroud and Ramsey are just minor problems there is a real chance that Wenger could have his completely full EPL squad to choose from at the Emirates next Saturday. You could say we are still missing Santi Cazorla but as the little Spaniard is not even in this season’s official squad, he wouldn’t be playing even if he had a miraculous recovery.

So surely this is all good news for us all?
