Great things expected from Arsenal star this weekend

Before last season there were very few people outside of Arsenal circles that had heard of Alex Iwobi, but after breaking into the Gunners first team towards the end of last season, he is now practically an automatic selection for Arsene Wenger.

Now he has cemented a place in the Nigeria team as well, and having scored twice in the Super Eagles warm up game in midweek, the Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr, is expecting him to repeat the feat when his team faces Zambia on Sunday. “I count a lot on him to help us to win the game,” Rohr said.

“He was not in the last time against Tanzania because he was injured. He a good player and I hope he is fully integrated for our first big match in Ndola.

“We must have a good attack, play as a team and have players who can score. That was the problem in Uyo where we did not score enough – we had 27 shots at goal and only got one goal. It was a problem.”

Although they only scored once Nigeria did win 1-0 against Tanzania and now are hoping to having to have a much better scoreline in this World Cup Qualifier on Sunday. I am sure if Iwobi continues in his excellent form he can help secure the points for his country.

Come on Alex!
