Arsenal are claimed to be in advanced talks with a manager to replace Arsene Wenger at the helm next term.
The French boss has been in charge of the Gunners for over 20 years now, and has guided them through some tough financial times whilst assuring them of their place in Europe’s elite competitions.
Wenger famously guided his side, regularly considered the ‘Invincibles’, to finish the 2003-04 season without losing a single league match, but despite such a feat, has come under criticism from a small section of fans in recent years.
Certain fan groups attempted to initiate protests aimed at demanding change from the club, while a banner demanding the Frenchman out has also been spotted regularly at the Emirates.
Wenger’s contract is now set to expire in the coming summer, and with no new deal appearing to be on the line at present, the club are believed to be eyeing his replacement.
Massimiliano Allegri is now claimed to be in advanced talks with our club over a possible deal, having fallen out with a number of his current crop of players. The Italian has won the Italian division with Juventus in each of the last three seasons, having taken over from current Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, when he left them to join the Italy national side.
The current Juve boss is believed to be keen to go to battle with his counterpart, but is said to have failed to agree terms on the new job so far.
Leipzig manager Ralph Hasenhuttl and Bournemouth chief Eddie Howe have also been linked with the job, but the latter is maybe a little early in his career to making the jump up.
