How Arsenal could IMPROVE after £60m Alexis transfer to PSG

There have been plenty of Arsenal transfer rumours about the possible transfer away from north London of our star striker Alexis Sanchez and they will continue to fill the pages of the football media until or unless the Chilean international decides to put pen to paper on a new Arsenal contract.

Obviously everyone connected with the club is hoping that happens but we have to accept that it might not, so when I saw a report by The Sun claiming that the French champions PSG were determined to test our resolve with a bid of around £60 million for Sanchez I wondered what might happen if we took it.

To be honest it is good money for a player close to the final year of his contract, even one as talented and effective as Alexis has been for us. The fact that he would not be going to a Premier League rival would also be a plus point and if the Chilean is not committed to the arsenal cause I can see why Wenger and the board might be tempted.

If they were then the only thing that would make it acceptable would be to get an adequate replacement and that would not be easy. But with £60m added to our already large reserves of cash I think we could do it in the shape of Antoine Griezmann. In fact I suspect that the Atletico Madrid and France forward may even prove to be an upgrade, especially after the recent shows of petulance from Alexis suggested his attitude may not be quite on point.

Would you be happy to see Alexis go to PSG if Arsenal were to get Griezmann in his place?
