How internationals can (maybe) get Arsenal back on track

You do not need me to tell you that Arsenal have not really got going in this new Premier League season. So with Manchester United looking strong with a maximum nine points from nine and with all of the other big clubs expected to fight for the title up in the top six while Arsenal languish down in 16th spot, we really need to hit the ground running after this current international break.

Hopefully the games that a fair number of the Arsenal team will play for their national sides this fortnight will help us to do just that and they certainly should. At club level we have seen usually good Arsenal players like Granit Xhaka struggle for form and maybe they will be able to regain some of their form when playing for their country.

At the same time we have the likes of Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi who have hardly played yet this season and so getting some time out on the pitch is just what they need to sharpen them up before the Gunners get back to EPL action with a game against AFC Bournemouth next weekend.

Danny Welbeck has already scored for England and Mesut Ozil produced one of his magic assists for Germany, so if the likes of Ramsey, Giroud, Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez could do something similar or at the very least have good games, could it be just what Arsenal need to get our season going?
