How many ‘World Class’ players do Arsenal really have?

Arsenal certainly have their most indepth talented squad of the last decade right now, but although Arsene Wenger always tries to explain that football is a team game rather than an individual sport, that doesn’t stop everyone voting in Player-of-the-month competitions does it?

So with the boring interlull upon us maybe its time to discuss how many of our players are actually ‘world class’. To set off the discussion let’s look at the opinion of the TV Pundit Robbie Savage, who believes that Mesut Ozil is the only one in our squad that can really take that description. And when a reader challenged him by saying: @vyshak_gunner: “Cech, Bellerin, Ramsey, Cazorla, Sanchez, Koscielny, Xhaka? What are they, ballboys?”

Savage replied (quite savagely, lol): “Are you seriously suggesting all those players are world-class? Take your rose-tinted specs off, my friend, and let’s get real. Cech? Yes, he probably was world-class once, but not any more. Bellerin? Huge potential, but he’s only won the FA Cup so far. Ramsey? Good player, not world class. Cazorla? Same again. Sanchez? Like I said in the column, he’s borderline world-class already. Koscielny? Gave away the penalty against Tottenham. Xhaka? Nope, not having that.”

So what is your opinion. Do we only have one ‘world class’ player, but collectively make a great “team” of good players. Or do we have loads of world class players?

Which ones would you choose?
