If Wigan can beat Man City, so can Arsenal!

Considering it was being talked about at Christmas that Man City had every chance of ending the season equaling Arsene Wenger’s Invincible record achieved by Arsenal, it has since been proved that Pep Guardiola’s side are far from unbeatable.

Two weeks into the New Year, Liverpool beat City by going all out on the attack and proving that Guardiola’s defence is still pretty suspect and are prone to nearly as many mistakes as Arsenal (well, not quite!) but it shows that the Gunners will have chances to expose their weaknesses, especially with Aubameyang leading the front line.

And just last week, lowly Wigan proved that City can be outfought by knocking Man City out of the FA Cup, and our Spanish wing back Hector Bellerin thinks this has given Arsenal extra belief that today’s final is winnable. Bellerin said: “They’re a team that had everything to play for but everyone is beatable, even the best teams in the world.

“Their performances have been great and they have a great team. They have a good defence now too which was one of the things previously that was lacking.

“They have a great team overall but it can be done. If it can be done by Wigan, it can be done by us.

“We have great players too and new players who have come in – we feel stronger than ever.”

As Hector said, it has been proven they are beatable, and there is one other fact that gives me more hope of an Arsenal success. City have lost one game in the League, one game in the Champions League, one in the FA Cup, so perhaps they will lose one in the League Cup as well, TODAY!!!!
