The Spanish media are claiming that we are interested in Joan Jordan of Eibar, who is apparently being lined up as a replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey.
Marca claims that Arsenal are already preparing to meet the £13 Million release clause in the midfielder’s contract, and as Jordan will enter the last year of his present deal in June we can’t be held to ransom.
But what do we know about him?
Jordan started off playing football at the age of just seven with Palafrugell in the Segona Catalana and gradually worked his way up to the Espanyol youth academy at the age of 17, after that he was promoted to the Espanyol B team, playing 85 games before finally breaking into the senior side, however, he only featured in 12 games over a three year period before being loaned out to Valladolid before signing for Eibar in July 2017.
The 24-year-old has scored 25 goals from 139 professional appearances, which is not too shabby from his position in the middle of the park.
