Is Fabregas who Arsenal need to replace Cazorla?

Poor old Santi Cazorla has hardly played for Arsenal in the last 18 months, and although he has been promised an extra years extension on his present contract, there is no guarantee that he will be able to play much next season either at the grand old age of 32.

Arsene Wenger brought in Granit Xhaka as a potential replacement this summer, but he currently does not look capable of filling Santi’s shoes, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has also filled that gap in a few games and may develop into a suitable replacement one day.

But our old captain Cesc Fabregas is definitely the finished product right now and even though he rarely starts for Chelsea he has still managed 6 goals and 12 assists for the League leaders. Because of his lack of game time there are rumours going around that both Man United and Liverpool believe that Chelsea will allow him to leave and are keen to acquire his services.

If he really is available then surely Arsenal may be able to tempt him to return to the Emirates. If Fab is keen on more first team football he should certainly get that at Arsenal, and more importantly he will be happier to stay in London with his partner Daniella Semaan and their three children, which was a big part of his reason for moving back to London from Barcelona.

With the continuing rumours that the Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is very keen on poaching Alexis Sanchez from us, then perhaps the pain could be lessened if we negotiated a swap deal involving Fabregas?

Who else thinks this is a good idea?
