The new Arsenal Head of Football, Raul Sanllehi, has said that he is looking at possibilities for the January transfer window to replace Danny Welbeck, but he also said that he would be trying out Eddie Nketiah to see if he needed to buy or not. But considering Arsenal’s position at the moment as a 5th place team, perhaps we should be trying to bring our youngsters into the first team more and forgetting about the transfer market.
Unai Emery hinted that there are a few top youngsters that he wants to introduce to the first team, especially as we have 12 games coming up in the next five weeks, when he said: ‘Maybe, maybe we are going to do changes to give a lot of players the possibility to help us,’
‘But thinking that we can be a big performance with them.
‘But at the moment, the young players like [Eddie] Nketiah, like [Joe] Willock, like Emile [Smith Rowe] and also Ainsley [Maitland-Niles], they are working well.
‘I think they need to be the focus in big moments for when they are in the pitch, to help us with their performance.’
These are all very promising players, and we also have Dino Mavropanos ready to join the defence soon, and dare I mention Reiss Nelson coming back from Germany whenever we like. Seeing the young players that Emery mentioned I am seriously thinking of putting them into my Fantasy teams during the fixture glut in the next six weeks, and I will be using my fanduel promo code to try and make some money out of them if they could come good. Players like Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith-Rowe always seem to raise their game when given a chance so they could be worth a chance don’t you think?
Even Emery told us that Nketiah would be given chances in the coming weeks to see if he can replace the injured Danny Welbeck when he said: “We are very sad for Danny and he knows he has all the support from the club. Yes, that makes you consider things,”
“I am not saying that’s a green light to go to the market but we have good players in the house also that may get further opportunities like Eddie Nketiah for example.
“We need to see. We are in November so it’s a good time to start analysing what options we have in the market. We are not closing the door but it’s still not the preferred one.”
But it’s not just the players I have mentioned here, we have even more talented players learning Emery-ball with Freddie in the U23’s, so do we really need to invest in the transfer market in the coming year?
