Is Reiss Nelson joining Hoffenheim really a good idea?

Last season Reiss Nelson broke into the first team squad and he impressed us all consiering his age and experience, but now it seems the youngster has agreed with Arsenal to go out on loan to the Bundesliga for this season to give him regular first team football, which is not such a bad idea…

Goal reports today….

Arsenal starlet Reiss Nelson is expected to join Hoffenheim on a season-long loan deal, Goal understands.

The 18-year-old is out of contract next summer but is set to sign a new deal with Unai Emery’s side ahead of his temporary move to Germany.

With the likes of Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck favoured above Nelson in the pecking order at Emirates Stadium, he has made the decision to move in an attempt to secure regular first-team football.

This is a crucial time in Nelson’s career and I really hope he makes a massive impact in Germany. To be honest I was hoping to see him play more often for us this season, but if this is good for his development, we will just have too see how he progesses in Germany.

Good luck Reiss!
