Is Wilshere the key to Vardy saying YES to Arsenal transfer?

A lot of this theory may hinge on how much game time the Arsenal and England international midfield star Jack Wilshere gets at the upcoming Euro 2016 tournament, and by extension whether the England boss Roy Hodgson decides to play our Jack and our transfer target Jamie Vardy at the same time.

But we cannot possibly know how much of what goes on behind the scenes in training has an effect and so I will assume that the two players get to know each other’s games pretty well this summer.

All this stems from the growing questions about how well the Leicester City striker will get on with the Gunners and how well Arsenal would get on with Vardy leading the line and that is where young Wilshere could come in. I don’t know how much you recall about our injury plagued star and his international performances in recent years, but being an England fan and someone who spends way too much time watching, thinking about and writing about football, my memories are fresh.

In the qualifying for this tournament, Wilshere was pretty much a fixture in the centre of midfield and as well as that he was often the best player on the pitch. One of his major attributes was his creativity, even though he played in the deep lying midfield role.

It was more like a Pirlo style position and he emulated the Italian maestro by producing some exquisite and pinpoint long defence splitting passes, along with his more usual bursts and 1-2s and that would suit the abilities of Vardy down to the ground.

Can you see where I am going with this Gooners? Could Euro 2016 and Wilshere’s providing for Vardy make the Leicester City man see that he could thrive at Arsenal and convince him to sign on the dotted line. There is always Ozil as well of course…
