Jack Wilshere is still feeling bitter after missing out on World Cup

The lifelong Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere may be out of contract at the club very soon with no club at all to go to next season, but I am sure he was hoping that a good display at the World Cup could have put him in the shop window and maybe earned him some good offers from top clubs, but Gareth Southgate had other ideas and didn’t even include him in the reserve list.

There is every possibility that Jack could have looked good in the easy Group games against Panama and Tunisia, but the match against Belgium to decide the Group winners could be a lot trickier, and if we get beaten then The Three Lions will probably face Colombia and get on the plane early as usual. If you check out the World Cup betting tips then England are are expected to reach the last 8 (at 4/5), but personally I would back them to go out in the last 16 at 11/5, unless we get extremely lucky.

But Jack will not be getting to showcase his talents at all, and he is still obviously upset at Gareth Southgate’s decision, and has voiced his discontent once again in a personal tweet yesterday that made his feeling very clear. He tweeted….

I know that a lot of Arsenal fans believe that he should have been picked even if it was just for a wild card hope that he could inject some passion into the England team in crucial games, but I’m not really sure that he played well enough in the last couple of months to earn anything at all!

Is he right to feel aggrieved towards Southgate?
