Klopp adds fuel to the fire as he refuses to deny new Arsenal manager rumours…

The Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was well aware of the breaking rumours from Bosnia that his long-time assistant Zeljko Buvac has accepted the challenge of replacing Arsene Wenger as the manager of Arsenal, and in tonight’s pre-match conference ahead of Liverpool’s second leg semi final against Roma he was given a very quick and easy chance to deny that Buvac was or wasn’t in talks with the Gunners.

But when challenged by reporters, all Klopp responded with was: “We gave a club statement on that and that’s all we’re saying at the moment,” which was a simple dodge of the question.

Buvac is currently in Bosnia apparently having a little break from his job at Liverpool for “personal reasons” and they released a statement to that effect last month. Sky News reported the story like this: Reports emerged on Monday morning that Buvac, also nicknamed ‘the brain’ by supporters, had quit his role as Klopp’s assistant just two days before the Champions League semi-final second leg against Roma.

But Liverpool say that is not the case and Buvac is spending some time away from the first-team environment, between now and the end of the season, for personal reasons.

If that was the case Klopp could easily have scotched the rumours by simply stating that their was no truth in it, but the fact that he refused to deny it will only fuel the rumours even further.
Perhaps there is a lot of truth in this rumour after all?
