Lucas Perez transfer the start of Arsenal exodus?

I am sure that Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board will want to get the best possible return for any of the current Arsenal squad who will be leaving the club this summer, but the reality of the situation is that we do not have all that much bargaining power with many of the players likely to leave.

The situation with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Hector Bellerin or Olivier Giroud is different because the boss actually wants these players to be at Arsenal this season but with the likes of Lucas Perez and others including Matthieu Debuchy everyone knows they are surplus to requirements and our squad size means that we need to sell.

So with the new season fast approaching and time running out for Wenger to bring in any more new players I think it is time for Arsenal to start cutting our losses and with The Mirror reporting that we are currently considering a bid of around £9 million from Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna for Lucas Perez I reckon the floodgates may be about to open.

Accepting the offer would mean a loss of £8 million on the player but if we accept it would send out a clear signal for clubs interested in other fringe Arsenal stars and that might even lead to a few bidding battles. Arsenal need to sell and I think we will take the offer for our Spanish striker. Will that be the start of an exodus of the unwanted Gunners from north london?
