Man United legend tips Mkhitaryan to thrive at Arsenal

Wayne Rooney has tipped Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s move to Arsenal, tipping the talented forward to thrive at his new club.

The former England international striker played alongside the Armenian all-time international goalscorer at Manchester United last season, and both were limited in match-minutes, but Rooney saw plenty of the new Arsenal signings talent on the training pitch.

Much like the Armenian international manager claimed that Mkhi would enjoy much more freedom to showcase his attacking prowess in Arsenal’s side, Wayne has moved to praise his move to our club.

“I think he is [at a club where he can thrive],” Rooney said of Mkhitaryan.

“I’ve seen it last season in training a lot, he’s a very talented player. I think at Manchester United he didn’t get the freedom he really wanted to go and perform which he had at Dortmund.

“It was a different style of play to what Dortmund played. At Arsenal I think he will have players around him running off the ball, taking the ball, and he will create goals and he will score goals.

“So I really do think he will kick on.”

Mkhi has already begun to show us just how much he can give in our creative side, and his full debut alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will already have sent a message to our rivals.

Tottenham will not be looking forward to taking on our new-look attacking force, and a win for our boys come Saturday will see us move to within a point of our rivals, with much the more confidence going forward.

Is Mkhitaryan more suited to Arsenal than Sanchez was? Will Mourinho regret allowing us to have the 29 year-old?
