Mauricio Pochettino keeps the door open for Arsenal move with latest comments

Mauricio Pochettino non denial keeps Arsenal door open.

Arsenal may be lucky enough to land a major blow on their biggest rivals, Tottenham by naming Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager.

The Gunners have been without a permanent manager for their last two matchdays after they fired Unai Emery.

They have named Freddie Ljungberg as their temporary manager but the Swede has failed to turn things around.

They were beaten 2-1 by Brighton at home the last time out and it seems only a matter of time before they name a permanent manager.

Former Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino remains one of their major targets for the job and the Argentinean hasn’t publicly ruled out taking over at the Emirates.

Pochettino is currently on holiday in Argentina after his sacking by Spurs but he plans to be back in London in a few days time to start considering offers.

Poch was recently asked about the possibility of him crossing over from Spurs but he remained coy with his response.

He told TyC Sports via the Mirror: “It’s important to have a moment of calm to lower the decibels and find the energy to take on a new project, and we’ll see where that is.”

“I’m going to spend a few days here [in Rosario] with my family and friends, and then I’ll return to London next week.”
