New Neymar says YES! Which other Arsenal loanees will be back?

It is part of the territory for a big club like Arsenal these days to have a number of young and fringe players out on loan. Arsene Wenger can only play so many and for others it is important for them to get some competitive football under their belt.

Just like with Joel Campbell in recent seasons, our Brazilian winger Wellington Silva has been on loan because he could not get a work permit for the Premier League, up until now that is. As Metro have reported, the 22-year old has confirmed that he will be coming back to play for the Gunners next season after loan spells at five different Spanish clubs.

He said, “It’s a dream for me to play there. Arsenal is a great club.

“Unfortunately this was not possible because of these administrative concerns, but I’m ready now.

“If all goes well, I’ll be out there next season.”

He may not find it easy getting in the team though, even if he has been dubbed the new Neymar, as Campbell found to his frustration this season. The Costa Rican has now played nine games since joining Villarreal in January and has played well without scoring yet. Then you have Sanogo whose loan spell at Crystal Palace has been spoiled by a recent injury, but he will be back soon and has already scored for the Eagles.

We also have Podolski at Inter Milan, Miyaichi at FC Twente and Jenkinson at West Ham, as well as a few academy players in the lower leagues. Will any of these Arsenal loanees manage to break it into the team? It looks pretty doubtful to me at the minute, unless they really shine in the next few months.
