Official teams and preview of Monaco v Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has made a few changes to the Arsenal starting line-up that blew West Ham away at the weekend but none of them is much of a surprise. What is a surprise is our under fire German centre back Per Mertesacker keeping his place despite the Brazilian Gabriel having come back early from injury and travelling with the squad to Monaco. Bellerin comes in for Chambers at right back.

The other two changes are Santi Cazorla coming in for Aaron Ramsey, a move clearly designed to give the Gunners as much attacking potential as possible, and Danny Welbeck replaces Theo Walcott on one side of Olivier Giroud with Alexis on the other.

It is a strong Arsenal side but we will have to be at our best to overcome a two goal deficit against a side that does not seem to concede goals. They have the likes of Moputinho, Toulalan and Kondogbia in from the start, with Berbatov up front and so it truly would be a miracle if Arsenal managed to make it into the next round.
