One of TWO transfers Arsenal MUST seal to win title

O am hoping, without too much confidence or conviction to be perfectly honest, that Arsene Wenger goes transfer crazy in January and adds a fair few top quality players to the injury hit Arsenal squad. Even if we have the likes of Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Alexis Sanchez fit and firing by then, the Frenchman should be aware that Arsenal are likely to pick up a few more injury problems throughout the second half of the season.

But if, as I expect, the manager restricts himself to just a couple of new signings then I hope that they are a top quality defensive midfielder and a proven striker and I would love that striker to be the player that The Mirror has us and Manchester United heavily linked with, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

The Borussia Dortmund and Gabon international star would be the perfect fit in our side I think, with his great pace and finishing. He makes great runs as well and is a very intelligent player. If we had him and with Danny Welbeck fit again, Wenger would have two players with lightning pace and great movement in Aubameyang and Walcott and two players with strength, aerial ability and hold up play. That way an injury would not reduce our options.

Aubameyang would not come cheap and we might even have to break the transfer record to persuade Dortmund to sell, but who ever said that the Premier League title came cheap?
