Only Arsenal fans would accept the Wenger situation – well not this one!

Arsene Wenger is cynical and a very, very greedy individual who for some odd reason can do no wrong in some peoples eyes, but he’s nowhere near as smart as many think he is.

I won’t go into the fact that no-one knew who he was before he joined us, and all the tired old arguments about what he has done for us, are countered in my book by what we have done for him and his bulging pockets.

Also he did inherit Seaman, Dixon, Winterburn, Keown, Adams, Bould, Parlour, Platt, Merson, Bergkamp and Ian Wright, so it didn’t take much to turn us into world beaters did it?

The plans were on the table for the stadium move long before Wenger arrived, though he always claims credit for it. And the fact he dumped his mentor in exchange for total power speaks volumes about his loyalty. And yes I’m talking about David Dein, the main reason for much of Arsenal’s recent success.

His cynicism showed it’s ugly head the day he subbed the sub (Eboue) which deflected the boos that were coming his way. That in my opinion ended the Ivorian’s career.

Now that same cynicism is rearing it’s ugly head again with his current situation, he is breeding massive uncertainty amongst the players, with several not signing extensions and more not having extensions offered. What he is doing is covering himself in the event he gets fired by ensuring a number of players will be off and he can claim they went because of him.

What makes anyone think he won’t sign a new deal, he’ll get a 25% increase, he will trouser £10mil a year, that in my book is an obscene amount of money for a 67 year old that returns nothing.

Why don’t we always keep successful people in power? The main reason is because when they get too old, and with that comes predictability.

People often say the shareholders love Wenger because of the dividends they get paid. I have been a shareholder for longer than Wenger has been here, and have never, ever received a dividend. That is another myth peddled by AKB’s.

The main board love him because he ensures AFC makes enough to pay them huge hand-outs regardless of success. And that my friends is why we will never be rid of him and never have major success again until he goes.

It won’t be long before our sponsors get tired of throwing their money away and demand success, though even Wenger will be gone by then, but it will happen eventually.

Will Arsenal ever win the league in your lifetime? Ask yourself that!

And as for Barcelona, why would they want someone who has only won three FA Cups in 12 years and in 4 years time will be 70?
