Panic over! Key Arsenal defender back in full training

Hector Bellerin had to be subbed off during a qualifier for the Spain Under-21 side last week, and Arsenal had feared the worst about a potential ankle injury.

The right-back has been dropped back down to the Under-21 side after a campaign with the senior side at the European Championships, but was unable to complete the full 90 minutes against San Marino on Wednesday unfortunately.

Bellerin was forced to sit out training on Thursday, as everyone frantically awaited the scan results, but the full-back is now believed to be back in full training, and potentially available to start again this week.

The Spanish youngster has earned his place as one of Arsenal key players in recent seasons, leaving Mathieu Debuchy to doubt his future at the club, and he would be a huge absentee should he be unable to return to action following the international break.

We already have Per Mertesacker currently ruled out with injury, while Gabriel Paulista and Carl Jenkinson are trying to build up fitness having returned to training following injury absences also.

Defenders Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal have got some good news over the break however, with unlikely call-ups to the England and Spain squads materialising, as replacement for Ryan Bertrandt and Jordi Alba, who are now been ruled out through injury

Gibbs has become a back-up to the favoured Nacho over the past year and a bit, and a call back into the England side had looked extremely unlikely.

How much of a miss would it be to lose Bellerin? If he was ruled out, who would you rather see in his place, Debuchy or Jenkinson?
