Poll results: Most important duo both sidelined for Arsenal

Alexis the Champion!
We asked our readers to vote on which Arsenal player was most crucial to our title aspirations, and the two most selected are disappointingly unavailable currently.

Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla have earned the right to be called the most important Arsenal players this season, with some thoroughly impressive displays, and typically are both currently out of action, although there is reports that both could potentially return in time for the Manchester United match next week (fingers crossed).

The Chilean sneaked the vote by only 49 votes over the Spaniard, and his switch to centre-forward this term has brought so much good out of our whole squad as a whole. His move has allowed Mesut Ozil, who came third in the poll, to get into goalscoring positions more often, and the whole team is thriving in confidence.

Laurent Koscielny wasn’t far behind the German in fourth place, and I was quite surprised to see him this low, especially as we were faltering at the back in his absence at the beginning of the campaign.

Petr Cech, Francis Coquelin and Hector Bellerin all failed to pick up 100 votes or more of the 2290 total votes.

Poll results:

Alexis 712 votes (30%)
Cazorla 663 votes (29%)
Ozil 388 votes (17%)
Koscielny 347 votes (15%)
Cech 88 votes (4%)
Coquelin 63 votes (3%)
Bellerin 30 votes (2%)

Do you agree with the order of importance?
