Proof Arsenal will not replace Wenger with Howe?

There has been a lot of mystery and debate about the job of Arsenal manager this week, and for the last few years really. This always happens after a poor performance or game, especially at this stage of a season and when it seems like the Gunners have let another campaign slip by without mounting a serious challenge for the Premier League title.

There have been some reports this week that Arsene Wenger is seriously considering his own future and with age catching up with him it is increasingly likely that the Frenchman will say enough is enough. It would have been nice for him to go out on top, of course, but how long is he going to carry on when the same old problems keep the Gunners from fully firing?

Only time will tell but it does seem apparent that Wenger will only step aside if Arsenal find the right man to take over. There are quite a few candidates but reading between the lines of a Sky Sports report on the on loan Arsenal star Jack Wilshere this week, it will not be the Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe taking over.

Howe was talking about Jack and the possibility of keeping him at Bournemouth and when he spoke about the plans for the summer it seemed evident that he has no thought of not being in charge there next season. If Arsenal were thinking of Howe they would surely already have sounded him out, so does this mean we can cross at least one name off the list of possible Wenger replacements?
