Proof that England manager has a BIG problem with Arsenal star?

Okay so we Arsenal fans may be a little biased when it comes to the subject of our own players, and perhaps none more so than our midfield star Jack Wilshere. Maybe that is because Wilshere has been at the club since before he was a teenager and that he is actually an Arsenal fan as well, but also because of the amazing ability that we know he has and all the bad luck that has dogged his playing career so far.

That is why I and other Gooners were left frustrated for Jack’s sake when the England manager Gareth Southgate chose not to call up the midfielder for the two friendly games against Germany and Brazil that the Three Lions are due to play over the next few days.

However, the England boss explained his decision, after Arsene Wenger suggested that the Gunners star should be brought back into the England squad, by saying that he could not give a place to someone who had not been playing regularly at club level.

All very well right? Well not when you read a Metro report saying that the Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater, formerly of Leicester, has rejected his own call up because of a lack of playing time and match fitness. Wilshere has played a lot more this season that Drinkwater and more than the Tottenham left back Danny Rose who also got an England call-up.

How do you explain this unless it proves that Southgate has a problem with Wilshere for some reason?
