Pundit gives Bizarre and Worrying comment on Arsenal ‘lunatic’

Despite the modern world of football, especially when dealing with a big club like Arsenal, being a lot more intrusive into the personal lives of the players, we still do not really know too much about what our stars are like away from the training and playing of games and the interviews they give to the media.

So football pundits normally restrict themselves to talking about a players ability or character that has an impact on the game. Not the Italian pundit Stefano Tacconi, though, as the 58-year old former Juventus keeper has come out with a pretty strange comment on the Arsenal and Poland international keeper Wojciech Szczesny who is currently plying his trade in Serie A while he spends a season on loan at Roma.

Metro has reported Tacconi saying, “He’s a good goalkeeper, there’s no doubt about that.

“But he’s an uncontrollable lunatic – he’s completely mad. And for this reason he’s a risk.

“What rating would I give him? 7.5.”

I am really not sure what to make of this. On the one hand it is good to hear that the on loan Gunner is performing well for his new club and the fact that Roma are just a single point off the leaders of the Italian league and are going along nicely in their Champions League campaign is great news for Szczesny and Arsenal.

But if Szczesny really is a dangerous madman, do we really want him back in the Arsenal dressing room next season?
