Respected journalist confirms Arsenal midfielder to join Bournemouth

David Ornstein has revealed that Bournemouth are set to land Jack Wilshere on loan from Arsenal, with Crystal Palace giving up the chase.

The England international’s future has been at the centre of talk in today’s transfer window, with Wilshere believed to have had the pick of 22 offers to choose from.

Wilshere is said to have spoken to both Eddie Howe of Bournemouth and Alan Pardew of Crystal Palace last night, and just as he was believed to be set on a switch to the Vitality Stadium, interest emerged from Italy.

Roma came in with a strong move to join him with Wojciech Szczesny on a one-year loan deal, but the BBC Journalist claims that their offer was eventually rejected by Arsenal, despite Wilshere keen on the idea.

Ornstein has now confirmed on his Twitter account that Wilshere is now all set to join the Cherries for the season, while Crystal Palace are seeking an alternative to bring in before the window closes.

The betting odds (which we have been following all day) have now been removed from the majority of the big firms, while the latest were quoting Wilshere as short as 1/20 to become Howe’s latest signing, and this looks like it should be wrapped up in the coming hours.

Wilshere will now have the chance to try and find some much needed form and regular football, as he looks to get his footballing career back on track, having suffered many injury setbacks in recent seasons.

Jack is Arsenal through and through, and will no doubt be hoping to return to us next season to make his mark in our famous red shirt.

Will Jack be ready for a first-team role next year?
