Revved up Rooney could spell BIG trouble for Arsenal

Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal players will already be well aware that the Manchester United and England captain is likely to be one of the biggest threats to us getting past the FA cup quarter-final at Old Trafford on Monday. But the striker could be even more fired up for this one than usual and that could be very bad news for the Gunners.

The 29’year old is already closing in on the all-time goal scoring records for both club and country. Both are currently held by the same man, Bobby Charlton, with Rooney just three behind his international tally of 49 and just 22 behind his Man United record of 249. You would assume that Rooney is going to achieve both of those goals.

And while he may not be destined to win anything with England, unless some sort of miracle occurs at the Euros next year, he has won just about everything going at club level, including the Champions League and the club world cup. The only blot on his record is the absence of an FA cup winner´s medal.

And as revealed in a Sky Sports report, Rooney is desperate to put that right. He knows that this season may be his best chance as the chances do not come around too often and anything can happen in cup competitions.

Rooney said, “We have an FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal on Monday and that is massive for us. We haven’t been to a final for a few years, we want to try to win that game and we are looking forward to that.

“Of course, I think it is a massive trophy. It is a trophy that, growing up as a youngster, I used to love watching and I was fortunate enough to see Everton lift the FA Cup in 1995 when I was nine years old.

“It is something which I would love to do and hopefully it can be this year.”

So Arsenal should be ready for Rooney to be charged up like a Rodeo bull on crack, because if we aren´t, then we could be heading for trouble.
