Roma striker keen on Arsenal links

Although Arsenal bought Danny Welbeck on the last day of the summer transfer window, there are many Arsenal fans that still think the Gunners are in need of a top top striker to take us to the next level, especially with the ridiculous amount of injuries sustained by the Arsenal squad.

We have been linked with a move for the young Roma striker Mattia Destro recently amid reports that he is not happy with being left on the bench too often at the Italian club.

He has a pretty good record of 22 goals in 49 appearances for Roma, but he has made it clear that he will be more than happy to listen to offers in the summer.

“Arsenal for me? The rumours are good, I’m happy for them.” Destro said in the Evening Standard. “This is the proof that I’m doing my work well,”

“There are so many things that I can improve on. I must never stop and continue to learn new things.

“The coach encourages me a lot, he is teaching me some things, and I try to show my skills on the pitch, as well as the confidence he has in me.”

But despite the good words about the Roma coach he has already indicated that there may be some decisions to be made in July. “It’s right that the coach makes his decisions,” Destro said last month. “At the end of the season, I’ll make mine.”

So how many Arsenal fans think that Destro would be an improvement on Dann Welbeck and Olivier Giroud?
