Should Arsenal cash-in on City target and buy wonderkid?

Arsenal are said to be keeping tabs on Benfica youngster Goncalo Guedes, while they are also claimed to be contemplating the sale of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Gunners midfielder has come under fire in recent seasons, having failed to land himself a regular first-team role despite numerous chances, and with injuries regularly stunting his progress, you would struggle to argue strongly against his exit.

We at JustArsenal were lobbying about the idea of sending the Ox on loan, much like the move which has seen Jack Wilshere begin to shine once again this season, but Chamberlain has played a role in helping our side to stay in the title rice this term.

Alex is currently our second-most provider of assists in the Premier League this term with four, but time and time again he has failed to star when being selected in the starting XI, and as we look at possibly improving our squad next month, there could be better options on the market.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is claimed to be an admirer of the former Southampton youth product, and is also said to be ready to make an offer of £25 Million for his signature which we may have to mull over.

We are now said to be looking at the possibility of signing Goncalo Guedes, with the 20 year-old impressing for Benfica at present. PSG are also linked with his signing, but with the French side having acquired Julian Draxler ahead of the coming window, they should be well equipped out wide.

Guedes has pace, skill and the ability and bravery to take on the shot, and could potentially be world class in the future, although the tag of the next CR7 seem rather exaggerated.

Is it time to cash-in on the Ox? Could Guedes be the ideal replacement?
