Should Arsenal rival Everton for Joe Hart this summer?

Joe Hart is being linked with an exit from Manchester City this month after seemingly losing his place as first-choice at the Etihad, so should Arsenal be looking to strike a deal?

The England international has been amongst the top goalkeepers in the Premier League in recent years, and it is only his style of play which is believed to have lost him his place in Pep Guardiola’s plans.

The Spanish boss is claimed to prefer a ball-playing shot-stopper between the sticks, much like Manuel Neuer, which has seen Willy Caballero preferred for the opening two matches of the season.

Hart is now believed to be eyeing a move away from the club, and Everton and Seville are favourites to sign him, either on a permanent or loan deal.

Arsenal were cut in price to sign the goalkeeper prior to the season, but have now gone out to as big as 25/1 (26.0) to sign Hart this summer, which appears to claim that we are highly unlikely to bring him in.

One year ago we brought Petr Cech to the Emirates across London from Chelsea, and he has been a huge hit in the North, but he is 34 years-old now, and there is no telling just how long he has left at the top of the game.

The Czech goalkeeper quit international football following the European Championships this summer, in order to prolong his club career, which could be a sign that he is not as fit as he once was.

Hart is five years his younger, and should be able to remain at the top level for longer than our current number one.

Would you bring in Hart if he was available for a fair price? Would Cech be able to keep Hart on the sidelines?
