Should Arsenal sell Jack Wilshere for just £9 million?

When you look at the silly money that has been changing hands in recent years for players, and not just the very best in the football world at that, you could argue that just £9 million for a player with the undoubted ability of the Arsenal and England international star Jack Wilshere is daylight robbery.

That is what the Daily Mail is reporting as the amount that the Italian Serie A club Sampdoria are set to offer the Gunners for the injury plagued 25-year old and although it is nothing compared to some of the transfers we have seen this summer I think we should consider it.

Knowing our luck Jack would then go the rest of his career with no injury problems but good luck to him if he does and at least he would not be playing for a direct rival. Arsenal could do with him off the wage bill to be honest and if we don’t sell him this summer how much first team action do you think he would see?

With Ozil, Ramsey, Xhaka, Iwobi and the young Gunners coming through, as well as the currently recovering Santi Cazorla to fit in, there is already a lot of competition for our midfield places, so should Arsenal just take what we can get for Wilshere and cut our losses?
