Should Arsenal stick with Welbeck against CSKA on Thursday?

Arsenal have a massive Europa League game against CSKA Moscow at the Emirates on Thursday but with Aubameyang cup-tied and Lacazette injured we have had to use Danny Welbeck as our sole centre-forward in the two legs against AC Milan. We won the tie comfortably but now that Lacazette has finally come back on to the pitch against Stoke everyone would fully expect the Frenchman to be given the nod against CSKA.

But now Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is not sure that Lacazette will be ready to play for the full 90 minutes which will mean that we have no choice but to stay with Welbeck. When asked about Laca, the Boss said: “He’s still lacking a competitive edge a bit,”

“He has been out for two months, he worked hard.

“He still lacks a fraction maybe. In training he looks sharp. How long can he last in a game? I don’t know.

“He needs one or two more games.”

But when asked if he could still start against CSKA, Wenger replied: “I don’t know. We’ll have to wait a bit to make that decision.”

Welbeck played quite well against Stoke, but as usual he has big trouble putting the ball in the back of the net, so it would be unwise to rely on him for our goals against CSKA, but then again he scored lots earlier in the season so maybe its about time he found his scoring boots again.

Would you prefer a not-quite-fit Lacazette or a fit Welbeck to play on Thursday?
