Spurs to do Arsenal EPL favour after Champions League failure?

Arsenal get back to Premier League action this weekend, but as our game against AFC Bournemouth is due to be played on Sunday and the way that the other weekend fixtures are set then we could be six points off the top of the league table when we kick off at the Emirates Stadium.

Antoni Conte’s Chelsea are currently the EPL pace setters which is annoying when you consider that we ripped them apart not too long ago, but we can only hope that their recent winning run does not carry on this weekend and for that to happen we need our north London rivals Tottenham to do us a favour as they travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

On the face of it this does not seem likely, especially after their poor performance against Monaco this week saw them fail to qualify for the next stage of the Champions League and receive heavy criticism. However, I think the spuds might surprise us.

For one thing the players will have been blasted by their manager and will be keen to put their disappointment behind them and to be honest they did the same against us recently, playing much better than they had in Europe a few days before.

They also have a pretty good record against Chelsea so I would not be surprised to see them at least stop Chelsea from winning if not winning themselves. Even though three points would take our local rivals above us temporarily I think it would actually do us a big favour.

What result do you expect from this match that could have a bearing on our own chances?
