Striker’s agent confirms Arsenal transfer move

With the Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez due back in the Arsenal team after a short injury lay-off, for the Boxing Day trip to Southampton if not for the big game with Man City tonight, it looks like Arsenal should be able to cope without our other striker in the treatment room Danny Welbeck.

That will not stop a lot of Arsenal fans from calling for Arsene Wenger to get his chequebook out to add more goals to the Gunners squad in the January transfer window. The Frenchman is closing in on a new striker, according to a Metro report, and the player’s agent has even confirmed the interest from Arsenal.

But I would not be getting too excited just yet Gooners, the player in question is not exactly a household name. Not yet anyway, as the Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is still just 16-years old. He is a hot property though, after firing his country to victory in the under 17 World Cup. His agent revealed that despite many clubs wanting his client, Arsenal are one of just two clubs left on the transfer shortlist.

Gaffar Liameed told the press, “We’ve had many offers for Victor.

“But we’ve narrowed it down to Arsenal and Wolfsburg.”

The report goes on to reveal that this list may now just one name left on it, as the young striker has supposedly chosen the Gunners after visiting Germany to check out what Wolfsburg have to offer. But will Osimhen be the only striker that Arsenal sign?
