Super starlet gives Arsenal green light for transfer bid!!

Arsenal Linked With Move For Yet Another French Starlet! by A.T.

There has been a lot of talk lately in regards to the future of the very talented Lyon starlet Nabil Fekir, who broke into the Ligue 1 side’s first-team just last year. Having made an immediate impact in French football with some scintillating performances, the young Frenchman has attracted interest from Europe’s elite clubs and especially from England, with both Manchester City and Arsenal said to be very keen on his services.

Having scored six goals in 14 appearances in Ligue 1 so far, the youngster continues to show proof of his rapid development and immense potential. To start off what is surely to be an intense transfer saga, the father of the 21-year-old midfielder, Mohamed Fekir, has been speaking in regards to his son’s future, as a Metro report reveals.

“If he leaves, it will be for Arsenal. It is the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsene Wenger. He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench.”

Considering that the source of the quote, Le Parisien, is a reliable media outlet in France, the story certainly has it’s credibility. Just like numerous young French players in the past, it looks as though Nabil Fekir has his heart set on a move to the Emirates to further his development under the guidance of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. However, with that being said, there seems to be no guarantee that he will not ‘rot on the bench’ even if he joins Arsenal ahead of City.

Arsenal has numerous young attacking midfielders just like Fekir within it’s ranks and Wenger will be in no hurry to spend on yet another one, even if he is French. With the player’s father said to be a fan of the Gunners and an admirer of the football philosophy of Arsene Wenger, it certainly seems as though the father-son duo are trying to navigate a move to the Emirates. Although various media sources claim the player is being watched by Arsenal, it remains to be seen if a move will be made. Surely, a few more such performances will be enough to tempt Wenger.
