The Arsenal team to face Burnley – Gibbs and Wilshere out

Another week, another Arsenal injury. As discussed earlier this week, the Gunners get an average of one injury per game (over five years!) and this week it seems that Kieran Gibbs is the unlucky one. Our defence every week just consists of whoever happens to be fit at the time.

With David Ospina out until next year, there is no competition for Szczesny. I fully expect Hector Bellerin to replace Gibbs in the back line alongside Chambers, Mertesacker and Monreal. I expect Hayden to be put on the bench as that is all the cover we have if (God forbid!) we get another injury tomorrow.

Jack Wilshere returns from suspension but has now picked up a knock and will miss the game. We KNOW if he was fit Wenger would pick him along with Aaron Ramsey, in the hope that both will suddenly hit top form. Wilshere himself certainly thinks he is back to his best although not fans would agree with him just yet. I think Arteta and Flamini will start together again to try and make sure of another clean sheet, with Ramsey of course.

Cazorla will be smiling away in midfield too, and of course there is no doubt whatsoever that that Player-of-the-Month Alexis Sanchez will be roaming around behind second-placed Danny Welbeck. I only expect Walcott to get some game time if we have a commanding lead before being risked. Probably on exactly 75 minutes lol.

I don’t think Wenger will rotate until Tuesday as League points are at a premium right now, whereas a weaker team should still dispose of Anderlecht in midweek. Could we find ourselves with our first back-to-back wins in the League tomorrow?

Who disagrees with my team?
