The uncanny similarities between Wenger and Theresa May

The uncanny similarities between Wenger and Theresa May by Neil Watson.

It’s truck me recently how similar Theresa May and Arsene Wenger are.

Both have incredibly powerful jobs, both have incredibly dull personalities, both look like they could be related to Mr Burns from The Simpson’s, both are incredibly well paid, both are weak and unable to effect any positive change and yet both hang onto their jobs like shit to a blanket. How does that work?!!!

Every time Theresa May is interviewed on TV after another calamitous cock up she manages to bullshit her way out of taking any responsibility for the outcome. She’s not nasty, aggressive or confrontational, she’s just lame and without any spine. I imagine interviewers lose all interest talking to her and so just accept her dreary replies as opposed to engaging her. That’s so similar to Arsene…

I don’t think Wenger can be accused of being aggressive, offensive and unpleasant… He’s fairly eloquent and polite yet, as with Theresa May, he’s just incredibly flimsy and weak.

And so news today is how Mkhitaryan and his agent are controlling the potential Sánchez to Man United move: some over rated United failure in pole position and calling the shots?!!

Can you imagine any other manager tolerating that BS? Mkhitaryan is half decent but in no way comparable to Sánchez and so he really is a make weight as our only realistic option since we decided not to take 60mil in August with no make-weights involved.

There’s one sole reason why we find ourselves being dictated to by an Albanian reject and his agent in this window: Because our manager was spineless n the last window and indecisive. Can you imagine Ferguson ever putting himself in that position? He would have sold Sánchez as soon as he started playing silly buggers.

When Wenger goes I want to see an aggressive powerful manager that shouts at our players whenever they need it, tells agents to do one, and sells players as soon as they start wheeling in their hotshot agents to mess about.

Structurally we are a rudderless ship and there’s one very good reason why Spurs and Liverpool have overtaken us on and off the pitch: They are assertive all the way through the club from the white collar side through the The on pitch people.

We need a massive shake up, a cull of all the yes men and an influx of real men!
