There could be ZERO Arsenal players at the World Cup with England

The Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere may not have a club after this summer, but his chances of getting a bumper contract from a top team have increased dramatically by the news that he has been given a chance by Gareth Southgate to show his improvement in England’s two friendly matches against Holland and Italy. If he shows the form that he has had for Arsenal in recent months he is nearly a certainty to go, and I have just seen that Bet365 have reduced his price to 4/11 to be on the plane after heavy betting on the midfielder ahead of these friendly matches.

The fact is that if Wilshere does not re-sign with the Gunners, there is every chance that the England side will have absolutely zero Arsenal players in the squad. Danny Welbeck has also had a call up for these games, but he was only included because of a late injury to Harry Kane, and he is unlikely to actually make the squad if Kane recovers well and Jamie Vardy remains fit.

It looks like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s decision to join Liverpool has paid off and he is also short odds-on to be in the final 23, but Theo Walcott’s move to Everton has not helped his chances and he will be watching England on the TV this weekend and he is now 9/2 to go to Russia.

There is one other possible Arsenal player that could maybe still make the squad, and if Maitland-Niles has a storming end to the season he could get a wild-card entry, but Unibet is only one offering odds on him going and they price him as a 25/1 chance.

Which Arsenal players do you think Southgate should choose?
