The Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has often been touted as a future manager at the Emirates, but his big problem is that he has never actually managed any club side and he desperately needs some experience and to prove to the world that he can improve any side he manages.
He was given the chance to do that at Bordeaux, but it looks like he has blown that chance by demanding wages in excess of what you would expect from a coach entering club management for the first time. This is what the Standard reported….

The 41-year-old had been in talks with Bordeaux to take over after Gus Poyet was suspended but those talks have broken down, with club president Stephane Martin confirming negotiations between the two parties had broken down.
It had been reported earlier this week that the French giants had pulled the plug on the move because Henry’s financial demands were far beyond those Bordeaux were willing to agree for a rookie head coach.
I am at a loss to see why Henry would not take whatever he is offered to get his foot in the door, or how else is he ever going to get experience? I know he refused to give up his Sky job to continue running the Arsenal youth team, was that also because of the money? If he carries on like this, who would even offer him a job in the future?
