Three Watford players Arsenal must keep an eye on

Arsenal will be back in Premier League action on Sunday when they visit Vicarage Road to take on Watford and just because the Hornets are bottom of the standings it does not mean they do not pose a big threat.

Three players, in particular, could cause Unai Emery’s men problems and unless they are contained it will be difficult to leave with all three points.

Craig Dawson

He has been their most effective defender so far this season making more stops and more clearances than any of his teams mates. Arsenal forward line cannot expect to just bulldoze the 29-year-old, they will have to be intelligent in their movement and runs.

Gerard Deulofeu

He is not the most consistent player but when he gets his head down he can be electric, he has the capability of causing significant problems for the Arsenal defence and he cannot be allowed to get a foothold in the game. If he gets his confidence up he will be a handful.

Danny Welbeck

How often do players make their former clubs pay? I don’t know the specific stats but I do know it happens a lot and you just know that Welbeck will be highly motivated and will fancy his chances against the likes of David Luiz and Sokratis.

There will be no Troy Deeney, which is a bonus but the players above are, in my opinion, the biggest dangers to Arsenal but they are not the only ones. Watford is under new management and we all know they are far better than they have shown this season. Arsenal cannot be complacent in any manner.
