Tottenham’s Alli and Kane make Arsenal look like kids

Arsenal were expected to make a game of the North London Derby but we  were treated to a weak-kneed display from the Gunners. In the first half Spurs were the better side, and missed a couple of excellent chances, badly. But Arsenal came did look like they were trying in the last 15 minutes, with Ramsey and Sanchez starting to influence things. But there was little support from the so-called stars of Ozil and Giroud and it was just a small consolation from a terrible performance.

We weren’t losing at the end of the first half so we always had the hope that they could sneak a goal when we got to the break at even stevens, but the second half quickly made it obvious we had no chance whatsoever.

Just ten minutes after the rrestart, in two crazy minutes Dele Alli Forced home a chance created by Eriksen, and immediately afterwards Harry Kane took advantage of Gabriel’s leg to persuade the ref to give him a penalty. Kane duly converted and the game was over as the Gunners never really looked like breaking down the Tottenham defence.

I could go into individual performances which made the Arsenal team look like they really didn’t want to win it. I will talk about the game more later but right now, Tottenham are still in the title race; Arsenal are in serious doubt of finishing Top Six, never mind Top Four.

And I’m emarrassed and depressed…..
