Uh-oh… Could Alexis push for winter move from Arsenal?

Alexis Sanchez is believed to be a target for Manchester City in January, and having failed to agree terms with Arsenal over a new contract, may be able to force his own exit.

The Chilean is claimed to be a target for the Gunners’ rivals Man City, who are managed by the player’s former boss Pep Guardiola currently.

The Citizens are claimed to be willing to meet his wage demands, with Alexis claimed to be in want of £200,000 a week to extend his current deal.

Arsenal started talks with the forward toward the end of the previous campaign, as well as with fellow superstar Mesut Ozil, but talks were eventually put on the back burner with terms failed to have been agreed.

The pair have less than two years remaining on their current contracts, and should we fail to sign the duo down to new long-term deals, we may be weak in resisting should one push for a move.

The German has been vocal in declaring his happiness in North-London amidst all the speculation, but Alexis has been quite the opposite, not saying much on the subject.

Juventus were strongly linked with his signature in the summer, but nothing prevailed, and we could be set for an anxious winter window also, especially if no contracts are put in place before such a time.

Arsene Wenger has decided to use the City target as a makeshift striker this term, much as he did with Theo Walcott in previous terms, but there is no has been no inclination on whether the player is happy with the switch or not.

Pep has certainly struck the right tune with his new side, keeping a 100% record so far this year, but does he really need Alexis? Will we be able to convince the pair to sign new deals?
