Walcott to help Arsenal by taking swap deal?

Should Arsenal swap Walcott for Bacca? by DN

There has been a number of clubs linked with an interest in signing Theo Walcott, and I have my own idea on how his exit could benefit us the most. The England international has been disappointing since returning from injury in December, and has become the most criticised players within the squad. Many fans have called for the forward to be sold this summer.

Their calls appear to have been answered with a number of clubs being linked with an interest in his signature, and boss Arsene Wenger refused to rule out an exit for Walcott recently.

I do not wish for him to join a rival, with Liverpool and Manchester City both linked, and I’m not overly keen on him boosting West Ham either, with the East-London side looking to grow as a club with their move to the Olympic Stadium this summer.

I welcome the interest from AC Milan however, and with us currently being linked with two of their players, there could be room for a possible swap deal. Manuel Locatelli and Carlos Bacca are believed to be on our wish-list, but with the former touted as a future AC captain, the latter appears the most likely option.

The Colombian striker has an outstanding goalscoring record since 2008, scoring at least 12 league goals every season, despite changing teams four times, and can clearly adapt to different styles of team. Bacca has scored 17 goals for Milan in his debut season with them, and can boast having scored 34 league goals for Seville in his two year spell in La Liga.

If AC have a genuine interest in signing Walcott, then we need to make Bacca come as part of the deal, as his goals could have been the difference between us winning the league this season.

Surely a consistent goalscorer is more important than ANOTHER future star who may or may not meet his potential..?
