Wenger – Arsenal have beaten BETTER Bayern teams before

Arsene Wenger has given out a battle cry ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League match with Bayern Munich, and has no doubts that Arsenal can get the better of the best form team in Europe. He said: “[There was] the one that won the treble with Ribery at full power, Robben at full power and Kroos, Schweinsteiger and Muller in midfield so I believe we have played good Bayern sides and got good results against them.”

Robben was hoping to be playing tomorrow but the Dutchman is not match fit after just returning from injury so he has stayed back in Munich, but with Lewandowski and Muller leading their attack Arsenal will have more than enough to deal with.

Having lost our first two Group matches, Wenger is well aware that only a win will be good enough to give the Gunners a chance of making the knockout stages this season. And he means to carry on our winning form which has seen us score 11 goals in our last three games. “We have the needed belief and confidence that we are doing something right so that helps.” Le Prof said.

“We maybe could be a little suspected of not taking the first two games seriously enough but this time that is not the threat.

“Let’s take the positives of our Premier League [form] and as well get the right focus that you get when you play a big opponent.

“We have some ground to make up in Europe as we have not been at our requested level in our first two games.

“Our focus has been much stronger in the Premier League than it has been in Europe and we know in this game the focus needs to be exactly the same than in the in Premier League.”

It will help tremendously that we will have Petr Cech in goal, and if we play our strongest team then there is no reason why we can’t shock the German champions just as we shocked Man United a couple of weeks ago.

Come on you Gunners!!!
