WHAT? Pundit says Wilshere ankle injury is his OWN fault!!

First of all there is more bad news for Arsenal on the injury front. What a shock and surprise that is Gooners!! Arsenal having bad luck with injuries…whatever next? In other news, water is apparently wet and Jose Mourinho is a hypocritical loudmouth.

Anyway, this latest injury setback for Jack Wilshere (and it is a setback no matter what Arsene Wenger says) is only a minor and temporary one but it did keep him out of the Monaco game this week and looks like it will mean that he is not available until next weekend at the earliest. So he will miss the home game against Everton and the trip to face QPR but could be back in the frame for the FA cup clash with Man United.

And that could mean that he is back up against the player who smashed his ankle up in the first place, United´s young Northern Irish defender Paddy McNair. Remember it was a reckless studs up challenge (completely unpunished and not moaned on about endlessly Jose) that saw Arsenal lose the midfielder for months. I say that because if you listen to the wisdom of TV pundit Tony Cascarino from Sky Sports you could be forgiven for thinking it was not McNair´s tackle but Jack himself who was to blame.

Cacarino said, “I think Jack has got injured by being slightly reckless – he has to be careful with the way he tackles.

“He gets his legs in positions where one gets isolated and when he gets tackled he rolls his ankles and it’s happened several times to Jack.

“But hopefully this will be the start of a recovery where we’ll see him play a lot of games back-to-back.”

Really Tony? Really? And just how exactly is Wilshere supposed to play his game and take on players without running the risk of being tackled? But as Wenger has revealed that he has just had two screws removed from his ankle as they were irritating him, we should see him back in action pretty soon and he should be fit and flowing again for the two England international games at the end of March. Unless he does something silly again like allowing another player to kick him…
