Which of the ‘British Core’ should Arsenal keep next season?

Which of the British players should leave at the end of the season? By SK

Some years back, you would hardly find more than two British players at Arsenal! Wenger then was even accused of sidelining English/British players for players from other nationalities. Although Wenger was able to escape with such criticism because he was winning games and titles with the set of players he had at that time. However this time, he has a lot of British born players in his team. Which amongst these players has really justified his place in the team? Who should leave and who should stay? Well, after analysing the first team British players in the team, you can decide yourselves.

1: Aaron Ramsey: The Welsh born player in his mid twenties, has had a mixture of fortunes at Arsenal! He came to Arsenal a few seasons back. He began his Arsenal career on a bright note until he broke his leg. However, he healed and took a little time in settling back into the team. His best season however was the 2013/2014 season in which he scored goals for fun! His goal scoring contributions helped Arsenal to an FA cup win then, as he scored the deciding goal that won us the trophy! Since then, his game has dwindled and he is still finding hard to hit the form he exhibited that season.

2: Theo Walcott: The England international was been in Arsenal for more than ten years now! During his period of stay at Arsenal, he has flattered to deceive. He was bought from Southampton where he was an exciting footballer. Initially, he began his career at Arsenal as a winger but inconsistent performances made Wenger switch him to the striking position, with the believe that it will improve his game and goal scoring ratio, which was not to be. However, this season has seen him play match winning goals and also seen him play wonderfully well! Will this form of his last for another four more seasons? Time will tell.

3: Oxlade Chamberlain: Another player bought from Southampton. He is a talented footballer who doesn’t seem to know how to perform on a consistent level. He is physically built for the premiership. He has pace, skills and goal scoring abilities. He can play as a midfielder or a striker. He has yet to fulfil his potentials, although he lacks regular playing time. Will he ever become the super Star the world expects from him?

4: Danny Welbeck: ‘Dannyboy’ as I choose to call him, has been cheated by injuries since he came to Arsenal. He is a talented player who knows to run, dribble and score goals with any part of his body. While at Man United, he had reputation for scoring deciding goals, a reputation he has brought with him to Arsenal. Unfortunately, injuries has deprived him of giving Arsenal all he got but whenever he is fit, he is somebody you will want to have in your first eleven.

These are just the British players who play regularly for Arsenal. However, there are others who either play for the reserves or play for the under 21. Who amongst them do you think needs to leave Arsenal at the end of the season?
