Why are the fans and media always so hard on Arsenal?

Media and fans are being too hard on Arsenal by Adewole Oluwafemi Peter

Morning Gunners all over the world, I am still of course enjoying the pleasure of our great victory yesterday, right now I am so excited and I trust am not the only one..

Over the years, It is widely believed among many Arsenal fans that the media and the so called expert analysts and pundits are somewhat biased and partial in their analysis and criticism of Arsenal. Many believe they love to ‘whisper’ our success and ‘amplify’ our failures. Many ex-players failing to say the truth about their former clubs while always ridiculing Arsenal. I remember a certain Owen saying Sterling is better than Ozil..really???

That has always been the norm in England over the years and this season, it continues…
Take a look at Liverpool, City and Spurs seasons.

Liverpool is one of the most inconsistent teams in the PL, before Klopp and even under Klopp. How many finals have they played, how many did they win?? They loses to small teams regularly, in fact they was dumped out of the FA cup at HOME by Wolves and they were not overly criticised…why? We literally handed the CL spot to them as a gift, if not, they wouldn’t have made it.

Now Spurs, on the other hand, were in the CL they were knocked out in the group stages and got relegated to their favourite competition, the Europa League. Once again they got knocked out of the EL by a mediocre team and guess what happens? Everyone still praised them for their fake title challenge and all that, now imagine if it was Arsenal…

I am not saying we are perfect, far from that, but what I am saying is that we have a better season overall. Yes we didn’t make the top 4 but all the top teams have also missed out before and we are still the most consistent in making the CL.

My kid brother who is a Liverpool fan says he would prefer to win trophies here and there instead of making the CL knowing fully well that they can’t win the CL for now. I am sure some of these rivals would rather have what we have now. But yet, there is one million dollar question I still wanna ask;

Why are we ignored when we do well and we are quickly termed a club in crisis when we have a blip? Is there an agenda against Arsenal?
