Why Arsenal is ready to rock and get revenge on Chelsea

With Arsenal having a strong season in the Premier League you would normally have expected our next game against Chelsea at the Emirates stadium to have been a potentially pivotal game in the destination of the coveted EPL title. But there is only one of the clubs with any chance of becoming champions of England in May.

While we may have all enjoyed Chelsea’s hard to fathom fall from grace this campaign, they have already inflicted one of the few defeats on Arsenal and could perhaps put another big dent in our title hopes on Sunday, so it is still a massive game for Arsene Wenger and the players.

At least the Prof is not facing his bogey manager in Jose Mourinho and, to be honest, we are in a very strong position to get our revenge on the reigning champions for that absolute travesty at Stamford Bridge in September, assuming that the Premier League have not stitched us up with Mike Dean again of course.

For one thing Arsenal have the huge double boost of getting the best number 10 in the world this season back in the shape of Mesut Ozil and he is going to be joined by Alexis Sanchez again for the first time since November. Those two will be major additions against a Chelsea side that is bound to come to north London with the intention of stopping us from scoring rather than taking the game to us.

And while the two draws against Liverpool could be seen as four points dropped, they have reinforced the belief in the players that we are ready to fight for each other and scrap for every point. And in the former Chelsea keeper Petr Cech we have a leader who has given the defence great confidence and a calming influence. Cheers for that Roman!

Also, the law of averages surely means that we are owed a bit of luck against Chelsea, so is everything in place for an Arsenal win?
